Marcello D’Aleo

is an Italian professional genealogist, founder and director of the Southern Italy Genealogical Center. Passionate about genealogy since his childhood, during his university studies he started working on behalf of some important Italian and foreign genealogical institutes. This allowed him to acquire a considerable research experience and an extensive knowledge of state and ecclesiastical archives, libraries and other cultural institutions in Sicily and Southern Italy. In its over thirty years of activity he has successfully carried out hundreds of genealogical researches and processed numerous requests for documents for obtaining Italian citizenship. He is a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG) and as such adheres to its professional code of ethics. He is also a member of various Italian and foreign cultural associations. He lives in Bagheria, a city on the outskirts of Palermo, famous all over the world for its eighteenth-century villas.
